A reading that arrives in the mail — written by hand, sealed, and sent.
Subscribe to the monthly letterEvery month the qi of a home shifts — certain corners wake up, others ask to be left alone. The letter tells you what moved, and what to do about it.
Each month I write one fengshui letter: where the month's energy has settled, which sector of your home to activate and which to quiet, and one small ritual to do with your own hands. It is the same tradition I read from in person — the flying stars, the five elements, the almanac — delivered as something you can hold, pin above your desk, and act on. Each letter is set like a Tang-dynasty travel document (通关文牒) and stamped by hand in vermilion — a different seal every month.
Letters are written, stamped, and posted from the Bay Area. Every envelope carries a hand-drawn talisman — a 符, the charm the practice is named for — different each time, drawn for the week it is posted.

The month's fengshui, in your mailbox: the flying stars and what they mean for the rooms you live in, what to move, what to place, what to leave alone — and one small ritual for the month. Posted in the first week of every month.

My yearly fortune reading, written vertically on scroll paper: the year ahead read through your birth chart and the year’s stars — timing, caution, opportunity. Accordion-folded, it unrolls like a hanging scroll — and still arrives flat in an envelope, sealed in vermilion, with a talisman drawn for your year.
Your animal year, read in full and written by hand on scroll paper — clashes and allies, favorable months and directions, and how to carry your sign through the year. Unrolls like a scroll, hangs like one too — the same reading I give in person, as something you can keep on the wall.
For the monthly letter, that's all — just your mailing address. For a personal letter, I'll ask for your birth date (and time and place, if you know them) after you order.
The monthly letter is written fresh each month from the almanac and the flying stars. Scrolls are read and written one at a time — please allow up to two weeks.
Stamped and posted, with that week’s hand-drawn talisman in the envelope. Monthly letters land in the first half of the month, in time to act on it.
Everything folds flat and mails for the cost of a single stamp.

符, on the hand tooEvery mailing carries a different talisman, drawn by hand in the Taoist tradition for the week it goes out — protection one time, clearing or invitation the next. No two are alike. Keep it in your wallet, tuck it above the door, or pass it on to someone who needs it. At Lunar New Year, subscribers receive a talisman drawn for the year ahead.
In the Tang dynasty, travelers carried stamped documents — 通关文牒 — each vermilion seal marking a checkpoint passed. Your letters work the same way.
Every monthly letter arrives stamped with that month's seal, pressed by hand in red from a traditional carved chop. Keep your letters together and the year assembles itself into a record — twelve seals, twelve months of your home's weather. Subscribers who complete a full year receive a thirteenth seal on their new-year letter, marking the year passed.
The monthly letter is $16 a month, posted anywhere in the US — first letter $8.80 with code LUCKY88. Personal scrolls are written to order. Prefer to sit in person? Readings are always open.
